Loving Others

No matter what you do here on earth, if you don’t love others, you have nothing. Do you love others as much as you should? I know it isn’t easy. Sometimes people hurt our feelings and make us angry, especially someone like me who is quick to be angry and slow to listen. We must learn to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to be angry.
God calls us to love other people even when they don’t deserve it. This is extremely hard; I know I haven’t learned this yet and it’s what God is currently working to help me improve on. Next time someone makes you angry, or hurts your feelings, try to show them God’s love instead.
Loving others is important for several reasons.
It’s God’s way of showing His love to others, through us.
It’s who God calls us to be - examples of Jesus
It helps lead others out of the darkness and into the light.
It brings us closer to God and helps us become the men and women He calls us to be.
I challenge you to show love to someone around you today. Especially someone who may be more difficult to love than others. I will do this challenge with you. Let’s seek to show God’s love to others by loving the people God has placed in our lives.
